F I L M Engrained in Me

Recently, my Nikon FE2 had been giving me some grief --- only getting 18-19 shots out of a 36 roll, overexposing oddly, shutter not releasing in bulb, among some other things.

The repair folks thought it was just the battery, but I had a feeling there were other contributors. Well, a new battery, some new screws, and dust removal, not to mention cleaning the blades on my 50mm lens, little FE2 was ready to roll again. This was my first test roll since the repair and I'm pleased --- mostly about getting through the majority of the roll of film at proper exposure.

My go-to film is Ilford HP5 Plus 400 so I used it for the test roll. This film generally works well for me since I like mixed/harsh light situations. Next up will be Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros, which I've never shot but comes with high recommendation from the camera dude. Do you shoot film? What's your go-to film and why?
